- I have been a high school math teacher for 2 years. - I have been tutoring math, writing, and music theory for 7 years. - I am CPR and First Aid certified. - I have tutored on the side for many years now and have made wonderful relationships with the families I work for, and still keep in touch with many of the families. I think this is what makes tutoring with me different- I focus on the relationship with my students as much as I focus on the learning. My students would say I'm "real"- I keep it honest but effective, I'm warm but I'm stern, I am humorous but know when to be serious, and I'm loving but also someone you don't want to let down. At the end of the day my students know I care deeply not only about their education, but about them as people. I teach/tutor because I love kids and I'll go to great lengths to ensure they're prepared for life.
